The Arboretum is a great place to walk, run, ride a bike, find a tree to read under. My favorite part is the redwood grove - I always feel transported to a quiet, cool haven.
Passively take in the beautiful scenery, actively jog or bike around it, or learn from the interpretative stations located throughout this "crown jewel" of the UC Davis campus.
Nearby place to walk and enjoy a spectacular garden and grounds. About a 3.25 mile loop for the whole walk of both sides of stream channel or take shorter loops. Several collections of plants all along the walk. Many areas have descriptive plaques of plants and their use. No cost but be careful…
Beautiful arboretum with plenty of room for exercise and activity whether it be a run, leisurely stroll or bike ride through all the different plant life.
