The owners used to always wonder why bread tasted so much better when it was baked in a wood-fired oven in their own home. That’s how the bakery started. Bäckhästens Bageri & Café is located Unnaryd close to the border between Halland and Småland. They use only eco-friendly, organic ingredients. The flour is locally produced, the butter and vanilla extract is real, and they use a wood-fired oven. You can taste the passion in their breads, cardamom buns, chocolate balls and carrot cakes. Grab a table in their greenhouse and enjoy the goodies amidst cucumber and tomato vines.
