Piazza dell' Anfiteatro, an oval shaped piazza, was the site of a Roman amphitheater. Parts of the original oval ground-plan and outer ring of second-century construction can still be seen.

Piazza Anfiteatro it's a square in the city of Lucca, built on the remains of the ancient Roman amphitheate. It is surrounded by typical restaurants so you can eat, relax and enjoying the wonderful view.

it's the most beautiful square in town. It was the roman amphitheatre. Now this amazing oval shaped square is surrounded by shops and houses as well as bars and restaurants.
