Amsterdam has Anne Frankhuis, Haarlem Corrie ten Boomhuis. She was a very important resistance hero during the WW2. She hide a lot of jewis people till finaly she got betrayed and was deported.

9 minute walk (600m) from Stadsvilla Parkhage. Experience the amazing story of the Ten Boom family in the Corrie ten Boomhouse which was a hiding place during the Second World War for fugitives and those hunted by the Nazi's. Guided tours take about an hour and are held Tuesday through Saturday. Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advanced of the desired date. www.corrietenboom.com. If you were not organized enough to think ahead, you can also do a virtual tour.
