Lake close to the city of Salzburg, great for a day-long excursion. In the summer you can swim there, in winter you might be able to ice-skate and take a beautiful long walk around the lake all year long. There is a small fish shop close to the Schloss-Hotel which offers the local catch.

Our favourite get away. Salzburg locals love to flee the city on a warm sunny day to pay a visit to the numerous scenic surrounding lakes. You may call it "lake hopping" :). Fuschlsee as it is called is our favourite. Summer is a beautiful time to take a swim in the Cristal clear "drinking quality water". In the autumn, spring or winter you can have a short and lovely or a challenging lengthy hike around the lake while enjoying the alpine view. You can also grab a coffee at lake's pier (Beach area) or rent a row boat and explore the lake by paddle.

You have to visit one of the beautiful lakes in Salzburg. Fuschlsee is just 20 min driving away from the city and so worth every visit!

Beautiful lake. RedBulld world headquarters are in the area and also some very nice surrounding mountains
