If you head down to Cottonwood Falls there are sometimes markets but mostly it is a beautiful spot to see some waterfalls close to town. You can then head up to our downtown Baker Street and peruse the shops and artisan stands which is quite nice. Lots of shops are largely art work.
Only a 10 minute walk is a beautiful waterfall and a little park area. On Saturday mornings, an artisan market is held here with live music
An awesome farmers market runs here from end of May to October. The is a stunning waterfall to experience.
Beautiful spot to check out in the winter, amazing cross country skiing tracks around. If you brought your skates, you can skate on this gorgeous frozen-over lake... I believe you can rent skates at Mallards Sports in town as well. If you want to go skating outside but don't want to go out to Cottonwood, also check out Lions Park just up the hill in Nelson- they also have an outdoor rink there.
