This was voted "Best Date Night!" The pizzas are creative and have plenty of toppings, and the cocktails are hand-crafted and strong! Enjoy the excellent service and intimate atmosphere. Check it out for brunch as well. http://www.barbarosanantonio.com/

We just recently discovered this St. Mary's street gem! Oh, how I wish we ate here every weekend! The seasonal pumpkin caramel French toast was amazing. Order a mimosa setup- it's not brunch without mimosas! Don't be scared off by the long line-- just enjoy the people watching, get your coffee while you wait and it will be worth it.

Parks & Nature

It's just two blocks away! Get in your exercise by walking the track or working the circuit, use the tennis courts, or just take a blanket and watch the ducks with a good book.

If you are traveling with a toddler, the Splash Pad and climbing toys at Yanaguana located right in the heart of downtown near the Convention Center offer a great respite from the Riverwalk. It's also an amazing place to people watch for adults traveling-- make sure to take in a game of lifesize chess or checkers. There is a popup shop here that sells "adult" paletas (frozen ice cream bars).

Drinks & Nightlife

It's three years older than my house! Established in 1930, it's a wonderful, low lit bar where you can get a cold beer or a creatively handcrafted cocktail. Check out the newly opened lower bar on the river level (different owner) or sit on the narrow balcony overlooking the Riverwalk.

We love to take the 600 foot elevator all the way to the top of the Tower of the Americas and drink craft cocktails (fancy!) while enjoying STUNNING views of downtown San Antonio and beyond. The fountains at the base of the tower are gorgeous too and a great place for a photo. It can be pricey but they have GREAT happy hour specials (4-7 I believe) including gourmet appetizers.
