Places around worth to visit
Brøknipa or Bruviknipa (822 m a.s.l.). There are several ways to get there. Keep in mind that your shoes might get wet and dirty :) The path is steep in several parts and might be challenging but the views are definitely worth the effort. 1. The easiest one is to drive up to Båtaleitet parking place (350m a.s.l.) and walk from there. There is also one more starting point just few hundreds of meteres before Båtaleitet - less wet. Check norgeskart.no for available tracks (red dashed lines). 2. You can also start right from our house and follow the path up. It is basically the same as previous but longer :) 3. Start from Båtaleitet but as a round trip: https://ut.no/turforslag/117229193/rundtur-bruviknipaflatafjelletborgastra

Don't make open fire in wilderness

All use of open fire is forbidden in or near forests and other outlying areas from 15 April to 15 September. This applies to bonfires, grills, fire pits, camp stoves and any other type of open fire. There are public campfire sites in the forests and on the islands, which can be used all year.

Bus + train ticket

The easiest way to get to Bergen is via bus and train (transfer at Kvisti bridge and in Arna) and takes about 1 hour (check Skyss app or web portal for departures). One ticket (40 NOK, 90 min) is valid for both bus and train and can be bought via "Skyss billett" app in advance or from the bus driver (pay by card to avoid extra fee).
À ne pas manquer

Fishing for mackerel

There is not much fish in the fjord comparing to other "open ocean" places but there is mackerel coming to the fjords regularly between July - mid September. The best chance to catch some is either in the morning or evening. Mackerel swims in a flock, usualy not deeper than 20 meters (but often very close to the surface 2-10 meters). The best is to have multiple hooks on the line so you can get 2-3 fish at the same time. It is matter of luck, sometimes you get nothing but other time 20 fish within 30 minutes. :) The flock is usualy only passing by so be quick to get the bait back to water ;)
