Museum of Legends in Ljungby

In Ljungby, at the very heart of the Land of Legends, you will find the Museum of Legends. It is an exciting and amusing museum both for children and adults. f you come with a group you can rent a storyteller for a guided tour of the museum. Our storytellers will lead you into the museum's magical world and your visit will turn into an extraordinary experience. The Museum of Legends is situated next to the historical square, called Ljungby Gamla Torg. It is a good starting point for your adventures in our magic landscape.

Unnaryds Hembygdspark

Between 1750 and 1850 many southern Sweden farmhouses were decorated with beautifully painted bonads or tapestries. Inspiration was taken from medieval church art, and in Unnaryd's town park stands Sweden's only museum to showcase this unique art form. Most of the tapestries are well-preserved and are an integral part of Sweden’s art heritage. They give us keen insights into how the farmers of the past lived. The Hembygdsparken is surrounded by beautiful scenery and beautiful promenades, and in the park there are also several other interesting buildings. Drop by for an afternoon and get a peek into Swedish folk art from the 18th and 19th century.

The Glassworks in the Kingdom of Crystal In the Kingdom of Crystal (Glasriket) handblown glass has been made since 1742. Together with the glassblowers, designers continuously stretch the possibilities of glass, and many glassblowing techniques have been developed through experimentation in the Småland blowing rooms. You’re swept along on an action-packed adventure full of shows, amusing antics, pony riding and other great activities. It makes no difference if you’re a big kid or a little kid. Bring Grandma and Grandpa along, our Wild West is for everybody.

It’s a family run establishment that’s engaged in fishing, farming of fish (rainbow salmon) and they smoke fish. They also run a restaurant on the premises. They conduct their fishing with environmentally friendly fishing gear. They smoke some of their catch (so along with fresh fish, you can buy some hot and cold smoked varieties too) and the rest ends up on their restaurant menu. You can have a variety of fish as ceviche, smoked, fried or grilled. Especially recommended is their seating in the outdoor courtyard that offers a fantastic rustic experience. Make the time to drop into this place on your next trip to Halland.
