If you're from a city that has a Pluckers or doesn't have a Pluckers either way this Pluckers is one of the most hype Pluckers that you can visit they will scream and holler almost the entire time you're there they are a sports bar and grill but they play these trivia games and allow you to win food gift cards depending on your knowledge of movie references song lyrics and other useless fun knowledge stored in your brain that allows you to put to practice like no other place. They sing you happy birthday like no other place/ eatery/restaurant that you will be asked to participate in with a special Pluckers dance. GOOD TYMES!

This place turns into one the best night life almost lamp light district type scenes for a night out on the town without the downtown troubles of parking but with all the same crowded fun.

East 6th, This side of the highway is just up the road and is slightly more mature crowd 30-up lots of live music all with in walking distance. Recommend (Eastside Showroom) this place is Nostalgic with a 1920-30's like atmosphere and live music of that era with people in zoot suit custom singing great food and great atmosphere there is video of Charlie Chapman playing on a couple of TV's on the wall. Almost dinner and a show while you wine down. There are many other bars and plenty of night life scenery in this whole area.

This street also has a food court with a new and recent trend that Austin is Experiencing a Wave of food trucks some with exotic foods and others with food truck type foods. (Tacos, Burgers, Sandwiches Ect.....)

The Congress Avenue bridge spans Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin and is home to the largest urban bat colony in North America known as the Congress Bridge Bats. This colony is estimated at 1.5 million Mexican free-tail bats. Each night from around mid-March to early November, the Congress Bridge Bats bats emerge from under the bridge to blanket the sky as they head out to forage for food. This event has become one of the most spectacular and unusual tourist attractions in Austin Texas. The most spectacular bat flights are during hot, dry August nights, when multiple columns of bats emerge. During a rainy season (rare in Austin), there are more insects out and the bats do not have to leave as early to forage for food and you may not see as many bats. If you're on a boat looking up at the bats, the contrast against the evening sky helps show them better. There is a decent spot to watch the bats along the Lady Bird Lake hike and bike trail just East of the bridge on the South side of Lady Bird Lake. Many people will watch them from the bridge above. Both spots can get very crowded and neither provides as good of an experience as watching it from the water on one of the tours listed below.
