Zilker Park is home to many of Austin's festivals. The main ones include Austin City Limits in October and the Trail of Lights in December. Don't miss out on visiting the famous Barton Springs Pool! It's a massive 3-acre swimming pool fed by three natural underground springs. It's the perfect way to cool off on those hot Texas summer days. Zilker Hillside Theater is one of my favorite places to visit in Austin during the summer! The outdoor stage hosts annual performances like Shakespeare in the Park, live concerts, and the Zilker Summer Musical.

Zilker Metropolitan Park is considered "Austin's most-loved park." This 351-acre metropolitan park is home to a variety of recreation opportunities, facilities and special events for individuals and families. Currently, Zilker Park is going through a planning process.

Zilker Park is a perfect way to spend the day in Austin. Biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, barton springs pool, lady bird lake, great eateries and food trucks, picnicing, botanical gardens, super playground for kids - including train ride through the park, enjoy snow-cones & ice cream and take a dip in the water at Barton Springs pool or walk to the various shore lines along barton springs and dip into the water. Great place to enjoy the day visiting central austin and downtown area, frisbee, various calendar of events and happenings.
