Beaches
A great beach for the whole family with facilities and a restaurant. You can book in for surf lessons. This is also a safe beach for swimming. If you love walking you can go to the very end where you'll find Crow Point a truly unique place to visit.
If its a beautiful day you'll need to go to the beach before 10am as the carpark fills up very quick !!
Charging hours are changing to:
For the period up until April 30th: 8am – 7pm
From May 1st – August 31st : 8am – 9pm
From September 1st – October 15th: 8am – 7pm
From October 16th – March 15th: 8am – 5pm
Prices are changing:
Up to 1 hour - £1.50
Up to 2 hours - £3
Up to 3 hours - £5
Up to 4 hours - £8.50
For every hour or part of thereafter - + £1
All other conditions (such as free 20 minute drop off and pick up time) will remain the same.

Woolacombe Beach is a lovely sandy beach great for families. Plenty of parking and a short stroll into the village for shops and restaurants withe the famous Red Barn on the entrance to the beach. Approx 20 minute drive from the cottage.

A great beach for surfing. The drive to it though is not for the faint hearted as its approached by narrow Devon Lanes. Good amount of parking with a cafe and facilities.

City/town information
Barnstaple is the administration town for our region. Sadly there are no longer any cattle markets but we do have a covered market which is not to be missed on a friday and runs alongside Butchers Row. All the main banks and building socities operate in the town. There is a vast array of shops, restaurants, pubs hairdressers, barbers and a multi screen cinema. The department store in the high street is called Banburys with Marks and Spencers opposite. The are several carparks in the town and a multi storey carpark.
