My favorite Asian restaurant in town! It's small and intimate, so try to make a reservation. Must-haves are the soup dumplings and the spicy shrimp!

It's a grocery store, but also has a FANTASTIC patio, and playground! Inside there is a restaurant with some good food options and several beers on tap, as well as wine options. The store has a great meat and seafood selection, and is fun for the kids to walk around and see everything. Very affordable, and a great way to let the kids play while the adults sit back and watch with a drink!

Another uniquely Austin spot. The pool is spring-fed and brisk, but stunning! Other options are to SUP or canoe from Zilker park, which leads out to Lady Bird Lake. One of our favorite experiences.

The Congress bridge downtown has a famous bat colony (over 1 million!) that flies out every evening at dusk to feed. A popular attraction, especially with the kids! Park downtown and walk to the bridge, or reserve a boat-watching tour!

South Congress Avenue between Riverside and Oltorf- walk up and down the street for endless funky shops, high-end retailers, bars, restaurants, and people watching. Metered street parking is available but limited, or find a spot in one of the neighborhoods. Uber and Lyft are also good options.
