Excellent local food... my tip: get the seafood, trucked in fresh from the coast... go early, to sells out quickly! Also the BEST kombucha anywhere... Buddha's Brew. Try a sample! And don't forget to pick up some amazing goat cheese from Dripping Springs, a nearby town. It's called Pure Luck, and it wins competitions for a reason...YUM!! Yes, there are bigger farmer's markets, but this one has everything, including live music, a free sampling table, and a petting zoo for the little ones! (don't worry, it looks humane!)

This is a little bit outside of Austin, but if you are anywhere near Round Rock (maybe you're going shopping at Ikea...??) make this a stop... wonderful seafood. Great happy hour too! Try everything!

A little drive from my place, but I'll make that drive anytime... if you love a thin crust pizza, one that makes that wonderful CRACK when you bite it... omg... this place is for you. I order the super large pizza & enjoy it all week. (cuts down on the driving!) And really, it's only about 15 minutes away, it's just that Austin is kind of small and I tend to stay close to home...
