An olde worlde hotel with wonderful gardens and great food. I recommend the afternoon teas - scrumptious.

Set in 0.8 hectares of gardens in Rathnew, Ireland's oldest coaching inn, Hunter's Hotel has been in the Hunter/Gellatlie family since 1825. The King and Queen of Sweden have been regular visitors. Good traditional fare. Wonderful hotel retaining all the character of times gone by.

Named as one of the top 10 most beautiful hotels in Ireland (visitwicklow.ie) Hunters hotel is listed in Ireland's blue book. This 300 year old former coaching Inn on the banks of the River Barty, has romantic gardens and fabulous food.

This is a must for old-fashioned diners as it is white linen and silver service all the way and fabulous menus too designed by a French chef. The gardens are lovely for afternoon tea.

Our favourite place to enjoy afternoon tea in the gardens.
