Best for: Casual dining, cheap eats, kid-friendly This restaurant in Cardiff Bay proves that anything – from the humble omelette to the cherry Bakewell – can become a thing of beauty in the hands of a genuine artisan, and that no big chain can compete with a family of dedicated caterers. The hog and hen (sausage, egg ans bacon baguette) followed by a chocolate & Malteser cupcake are sheer bliss.

The cupcakes are the best around. The choice is incredible. Worth a visit if you’re in the bay. A great afternoon tea too plus they now do a vegan and gluten free afternoon tea too!!!

If you venture into Cardiff Bay, a must-visit is The Deck. They have a wonderful range of cupcakes and a good food menu. It's quite a small venue and a bit noisy. But worth it for the food.
