This is a hard hike but my favorite in the area. Takes you up to Grandfather Mountain

Nice moderate to strenuous hike. You can see the profile of Grandfather Mtn from the trail (I can’t remember which - there are different trails to choose from later into the hike the trail splits.)

2 miles from parking lot to the Foscoe point lookout. Parts are steep uphill. 2 miles there and back took about 2 hours.
