Utah has gone wild with these custom soda shops, where you choose your base soda (Dr. Pepper, Coke, Pepsi, Rootbeer, Sprite etc.) and add mix-ins like cherry, vanilla, raspberry, cream, coconut, and more. This particular joint is one of the originals, right next to Cafe Sills, a well-known Layton greasy spoon and Burger Stop, a Layton favorite 50's burger/shake shop that hosts huge car shows in the summer. It is a TINY place, and most people use the drive-thru. Plan on four cars in front of you at least; it's very popular. Or you can go into the shop which is sometimes faster. They also sell homemade cookies in various flavors--choc chip, peanut butter, sugar, etc. that are delicious. Definitely a fun pit stop for a sweet pick-me-up.
