A must visit during your time spent in Gulfport. Fort Desoto offers kayak rentals, camp grounds, and the best beaches in St Petersburg. Highly recommend taking a day to explore all the park has to offer.

Beautiful views and cannons! The large pavilions are great for family gatherings. You can also catch the ferry for a day trip to Egmont Key.

Dog/human chaos score (where 5=high traffic): 1... For the pup that can hike forever... This is a state park with miles and miles of varying difficulty trails. Fairly empty.
