Super family and kid friendly with a play area and tram tour. Also, check out Anna Maria Island while in the area, and also Bishop Museum of Science and Nature, if you want to do something indoors!

A working farm and wildlife rehabilitation area. Play area for kids, Florida’s largest coy pond, wonderful tram tour and delicious food, snacks and treats. My wife grew up on an apple orchard, so she was very curious to learn about orange groves. The little ones also loved seeing the Wildlife refuge which they show when you’re on the tram tour. www.mixon.com

Mixon Fruit Farms Mixon Fruit Farms is an attraction the entire family will enjoy. Mixon’s features tropical gardens, a butterfly garden and magical maze, a citrus fruit packinghouse, a cafe, an ice cream parlor, and a juice and wine bar. You can also take a ride through the grove on the Orange Blossom Express Tram to learn about citrus growing with a stop at the Wildlife Refuge where visitors can see rescued birds, animals, and reptiles.

Such a fun place and only a few minutes away. They have a wildlife refuge, tram tours of the orchards, so many great pastries and treats. Make sure you try the orange ice cream they're famous for!
