A Mikkeller bar - in the same building as the 'Mikkeller & Friends' bar. Koelschip has 10 belgian styled sour beer on tap and a lot of vintage bottles. Cozy atmosphere and great bartenders.

Koelschip is Mikkeller’s tribute to Belgium. A small bar dedicated to the craft and history of Belgian beer, in particular Lambic and spontaneous fermented beer, as well as a selection of Belgian snacks and delicacies. It’s dark, cozy and full of nostalgic memorabilia tucked away under the hop vines hanging from the ceiling. With Koelschip we strive to educate and promote the art of lambic brewing and blending. Our bartenders are both very enthusiastic and highly knowledgeable in order to guide a path to the novice. We offer what we believe is the biggest selection of bottled lambics outside of Belgium, together with four high quality, ever-changing, sour draft beers. Koelschip takes pride in offering authentic glassware and a proper service, in order to pay the respect that the beers deserve.

Sours beers only - not my cup of tea but maybe yours! Very cozy place though.

I don't actually go to Koelschip very often, but the times I have gone, it's been great. This is a niche beer bar, specialising in Belgian sour craft beer - Lambic, Gueuze, Kriek and the likes. No Tuborg or Carlsberg here for a mere 15,- Danish kroner. Nope - here it's all about artisanal, micro brewery craft-beer. They serve tasty, tangy, original and high-quality beer, that comes with an equal price tag.
