The Salt Pond Visitor Center offers insight into the local flora and fauna and offers insight into how climate change affects this area. There are also beautiful hiking trails though the woods from the visitor center (with lots of parking) to Coastguard Beach.

Salt Pond Visitor Center is Cape Cod National Seashore's main visitor facility, with a theater, bookstore, museum, and restrooms. The indoor theater has five short films played on request. Nearby access to the popular 1.5 mile Nauset Marsh Trail, and the Nauset Bicycle Trail, and the Buttonbush Trail. Great history of how Cape Cod was formed, nature and nearby the Old School House musem. Hikes along the Salt Pond, kayaking and boating allowed, bike riding the trails up to Coast Guard Beach.

Provides history of the creation of the national seashore as well as details of the local ecology. There is a nature trail as well as a bike trail to the beach with links to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Shuttle bus runs from visitor center down to the beach.
