Used to be the American Air Base, now returned to the public as common land. Miles of open space plus wooded areas. See the old runways and silos. The Control Tower due to open as a cafe this spring

A 15 minute stroll away. Dog friendly. Loads of outdoor seating. Interesting museum of the long history of Greenham Common from the English Civil War 1644 to its role in the WW2 D-Day landings and the anti-nuclear Women’s Peace Camp of the 1980s.
