Established by an Englishman in 1764, Lawrence’s Hotel is the oldest hotel on the Iberian Peninsula. It is a historical landmark in its own right, as George Lord Byron began his famous Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage while a guest in 1809, and it has housed many Portuguese writers such as Eça de Queirós who mentions it several times in his writings.
Open since 1764, this is the oldest hotel in the Iberian Peninsula and they offer executive lunch menus for a good price.
Arguably one of the best restaurants in this location. Very classical, but yet one of the trendiest in the area. Definitively worth a visit.
Fancy Portuguese/French fare. Restaurant located inside the oldest Hotel on the Iberian Peninsula. Impeccable service, very good food, good wine list, good ambience, both indoor and outdoor seating.
