Jewish Town Hall – a place where the wall clock goes counterclockwise. This old Jewish Town Hall ranks among the few monuments of Prague-Josefov which have survived the extensive demolitions related to the sanation programs of the Prague´s Jewish ghetto leading to improvement of standard of living and hygienic conditions of the community.

Recall the legacy of one of the most important figures in Prague Jewish history, Mordechai Maisel, whose building projects included the Jewish Town Hall. Mordechai Maisel had many buildings constructed in Prague’s Jewish Quarter in his time. Among the most important were the High Synagogue, the Maisel Synagogue and the “klauses” (small buildings) on the site where the Klaus Synagogue now stands
