Cité historique au cœur de Caldéra. Tejeda appartient à l'association "Les plus beaux villages d'Espagne". A proximité du Roque Nubio vous pouvez donc regrouper vos visites. L'environnement naturel de cette région est caractérisé par la présence des pins canariens et des amandiers. La culture et l'Art sont les deux axes de vie de cette commune. Deux musés sont à visités : Le museo de Esculturas ( musée des sculptures) et le musée Ethnographique. Également le centre des plantes médicinales du village de Tejeda. Dans le village à ne pas manquer également l'Église Paroissiale de Nuestra Señora del Socorro ainsi que le Parador Nacional (grand hôtel géré par l’état) de Tejeda, situé à la Cruz de Tejeda. A proximité de ce grand hôtel plusieurs étals de produits typiques vous sont proposés. Nous vous conseillons fortement les pâtisseries traditionnelles à base d'amandes.

If you arrive in the evening and it is nice weather, take a coffee in "El Parador de tejeda" while you see the sunset. And if you are lucky you'll see "el mar de nubes" (sea of clouds) too.

The surrounding streets preserve sober, white-walled houses with tiled roofs. Outside there are small gardens with flower pots. This is the case of the Museum of Traditions, a building of traditional architecture where you can discover the rural way of life of the village throughout its history.
