LA COVA FUMADA, EST L'UN DES BARS À TAPAS TYPIQUES DE BARCELONETA, UN QUARTIER TYPIQUE DE PÊCHEURS, OÙ VOUS POUVEZ PROFITER DES PLAGES DE BARCELONE. LA COVA FUMADA, IS ONE OF THE TYPICAL TAPAS BARS IN BARCELONETA, A TYPICAL FISHERMAN'S NEIGHBORHOOD, WHERE YOU CAN ENJOY THE BEACHES OF BARCELONA.

Dans ce musée de la haute gastronomie populaire, enfumé, s'agite encore le fantôme de Pepe Carvalho qui continue d'y commander des bombas, des pois chiches au boudin et des calamars parfaits. Toujours bondé, on y vient tôt (c'est aussi un endroit d'esmorzar, de petit-déjeuner "à la fourchette"), on commence au bar en attendant une table, on mange toute la carte et on boit des litres de vin a granel (au pichet). Attention, en fin de semaine, La Cova n'est ouverte que pour le déjeuner du samedi, n'arrivez pas après douze heures,

Try the bombas! is a classic there. all other tapas are great. Love this when going to the beach. Energy us lovely. Only open for lunch and don't take reservations. So you'll have to wait.

Secret Spot par excellence. This opened in 1944 and looks like time has stood still since then. There is no sign at the door and the opening times are weird, seeing as their specialty is "Esmorzar a Forquilla" or "Fork breakfast", meaning tapas and fried sea food served early with beer and wine, which most people would associate more with lunch or dinner. They also invented the "bomba" or potato bomb, a sort of croquette on steroids. Come early for breakfast and you will sit with the locals, if you are late then it will be more touristy.

Open just on lunch time, with no name on the door...not post, not silly, not overprized....authentic overall!!! Noisy and colourful, great food!!!!
