Gloucester is a short drive or taxi away from Cheltenham. Lots of food festivals, places to eat and drink. Boats to hire and to look at, take a cruise. Lovely old buildings and the home of Gloucester Brewery.

There's lots of places to eat at The Docks, from big chains to little cafes, plus a street market some days. There's parking and a shopping outlet at the Quays next door too.

Lots of places to visit in the Docks, lots of restaurants. Seasonal events such as the Christmas market.

A historically important inland port, Gloucester Docks now offers an exciting mixture of shops and restaurants at Gloucester Quays, as well as the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum and a flotilla of vessels on the water year round. It is a popular film location and will play host to the fantastic Gloucester Tall Ships Festival in 2019 too.

the furthest inland docks in the UK - now a picturesque spot to take in views of boats of all shapes and sizes on the water - from tall ships to canal boats - and the location of a number of events throughout the year
