Pack a picnic and enjoy it under the largest banyan tree in united states. My son loved running under the tree. Right on front street in Lahaina where most of the touristy shops are.

Lahaina Banyan Court Park is a public park located at the corner of Front Street and Canal Street in the town of Lahaina, Hawaii, which was the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii from 1820 to 1845. Nice place to sit and people watch.

Beautiful tree. Second largest banyan tree outside of India.

Prettiest banyan tree (an maybe the oldest and largest) on the island. Do during the daylight though. Can be a "shady" area after dark, if you get my drift.

Sheriff William Owen Smith planted an Indian banyan tree in the courtyard square in 1873 to memorialize the 50th anniversary of the first American Protestant mission in Lahaina. The banyan tree has become the largest banyan tree in Hawaii, and one of the largest banyan trees in the United States. Its extensive trunk and aerial root system now covers 0.66 acres. It is truly massive and an impressive sight to see. Also located on the site are ruins of an old fort built from blocks of coral. Due to the fires access to this park may be restricted, and much of old Lahina town is in ruins.
