Its off the beaten path and that is a good thing. Go early in the morning with a cup of coffee and go for a walk. You can see driftwood. Its free. And you can bring your dog.
Higbee Beach is a popular place to find Cape May diamonds, quartz crystals rounded and polished by the sea. Higbee Beach experiences one of the world's largest migrations of birds in North America. During the spring and summer, several species of birds including Blue Grosbeak, Indigo Bunting, Yellow-breasted Chat, and Prairie Warbler breed at the beach.
Is the dog beach! And has a great view of the dunes, also is known for some nudities sunbathing sometimes... don't be surprised!
Beautiful secluded beach known for nature lovers and bird enthusiasts. Excellent fishing off the jetty. Walk the trails. Arrive early in the morning due to limited parking, especially during the Spring migration. Rumored to be a haunted beach.
