Just in the middle meadow walk Quarter Mile shows us the contrast between the old and the new buildings. With cafes and restaurants the place between meadows and old town is a great notable spot in Edinburgh.

Where do all the locals go when it hits 15 degrees and bright blue skies!? Why the Meadows of course! Take a trip to the Quartermile (named the Quartermile because it is exactly a Quartermile from Edinburgh Castle - ohhh I hear you say!) where you'll find nice cafes and a buzzing scene leading down to The Meadows park, which is a lovely open spacious park that is popular with walkers, runners and those who just want to chill out. TIP: Take a BBQ if the suns out and people watch!
