If you want to try some traditional beer from Salzburg, this is the place to go. Plus: there's a very nice garden to sit and eat in the summer.
Traditional Austrian beer garden - culture. Great atmosphere and is certainly one of the fixtures in Salzburg. There are beer in beer steins and there are small stalls, where you can buy local snacks. Special flair and after the beer you have only 5 minutes walk to the Wohunung.
Monk brewery. Very nice place that brews their own beer and serve typical Austrian food.
My favourite place to get a beer and try some of the local delicacies. You can also bring your own food if you prefer. The place is loved by the young and older generations.
Enjoy with tradition! Enjoy some traditional regional cuisine with historical ambience – hearty snacks washed down with a nice Augustiner beer. Whether it be in our lush garden or cosy terrace area, inside one of our quaint halls or snug lounge areas, we have a special space (= Platzl) for…

“• UNESCO Welterbe - World Heritage Site • We are a large theatre with small "actors" and a wide and varied repertoire which has charmed countless children and adults for a century, and has become famous throughout the world. We present operas by various composers, including of course Mozart's Magic Flute, as well as the Salzburg classic The Sound of Music, Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker ballet and Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream or Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince. Children for sure will like Peter and the Wolf or Rumpelstiltskin. For children and those with little time to spare, we recommend our one-hour afternoon programme.”
