Magnifique randonnée dans la Caldera tout en bas ou sur les crêtes et ne pas manque en haut de visiter l'observatoire et le point de tourisme.

The Caldera de Bandama is one of the most unique natural spaces on Gran Canaria, and yet many of the tourists who holiday on the island each year don’t even know it exists. At just a short distance from the island’s capital Las Palmas, it’s well worth a visit, and not just to wonder at the immense geological forces that shaped it but to admire the scale of human adaptation to what is a complicated environment.

Interior del antiguo volcan de Bandama. Existe un camino para bajar al interior. Sobrecogedor. The inside of the old Bandama vulcano. There is a path to go down. It's amazing!

La Caldera de Bandama is one of those surprising and unusual places on the planet. It originated after an eruption and subsequent collapse of a volcano over its magmatic chamber. The whole area was protected as a National Monument in 1994. This large gully is practically circular in shape, with a perimeter of 3 kilometres and a depth of 200 metres. It is advisable to climb up to the highest peak of the caldera, Bandama, as the views from the top are breathtakingly beautiful. A curious fact about its name is that the caldera was bought by a Belgian, Daniel Van Damme, with the intention of planting vineyards.
