Look out for the little board that says ‘beach access’ to take the left. Drive on the beach to park and enjoy or park in the parking lot!

Matagorda Beach can be quiet and relaxing some days but get busy during important Holidays. Come and enjoy a fun day with friends and family. Almost warm all year round in Texas!

Matagorda Beach is 23 miles long. Great shell collecting! I personally love to search for sea glass! Surf fishing at it’s best! You may catch trout, redfish or even a shark!

There are 23 miles of beach accessible by vehicle, and 35 additional miles accessible only by boat. There is a beach permit required to drive on the beach - and are available for sale for $10 from Stanley's or the Matagorda Nature Center.
