Hands Down - Best Gelato in Newcastle! (in my opinion anyway) Popolo Artisan Gelateria makes authentic Italian gelato on site and the best bit - it’s literally only just down the road! A true summer favourite... or whenever dining nearby, it is usually the pick for dessert. So their is often a queue... but it never takes too long & is always worth the wait! If you feel like yummy Italian then my advice is to go to Napoli (Italian Restaurant also in the guidebook) and once finished, walk directly across the road to get some Popolo Gelato to end a great meal. They are the perfect pair!

Gelato made daily! Open late! Different flavours everyday! Vegan options! So so yummy.......

Authentic traditional-style gelato in walking distance .... and they provide large takeaway tubs which is the best way to eat it ;)
