When is windy, there is a place for all the wind sports to launch. Also, best spot to watch the athletes flying on or above the water is from Chief parking!

If you want to watch Kite Boarding, this is where to go. The road is a marvel in itself. The Kite Boarding is some of the best in the world and there is a few awesome estuary trails marked out to stop along the way. Great way to spend a few hours.

Check out the Squamish Spit. There are beautiful walking trails along the estuary, with a great view of the Chief. Go to the end of the road to find the Squamish Windsport Association. This is the top kiteboard and windsurfing location in Western Canada, home of the Canadian National Kitboarding Championships.

For an upclose look at the sport of kite-boarding, head to the spit! There is a network of beautiful, flat trails here but keep in mind that there is a lot of wildlife in this area.
