What a magical place to visit to create surreal moments. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby. Lovely beach and a beautiful place to appreciate color contrasts between sky sand water and plant color ranging from red-yellow to many shades of greens.

Tennyson is a small beachside suburb wedged between Grange and West Lakes. The Tennyson sand dunes are a prominent feature of the suburb, and are cherished as the remnants of an important dune system that once stretched 30kms along the coast. The dunes are a natural ecosystem and habitat for a number of birds, insects and plants. Surveys have found sixteen endangered plant species and several more species so rare that they only grow in this area. An interpretive walking trail meandering through the Tennyson Dunes contains some 56 native plant species and host a variety of wildlife.

Gorgeous beach and sunset, parking in the side streets off Military Rd is usually not too difficult. One of the best beaches near Adelaide.
