The Moravian Church and Linden Hall School for girls are a great place to start when exploring historic Lititz. Beautiful Moravian Church is flanked by the 1759 Single Sisters House (Linden Hall Castle) and the 1759 Single Brothers House which was commandeered by General Washington as a military hospital in 1777. In back is the cemetery with famed General Sutter burial site. The Moravians play a special role in Lititz history and traditions of townsfolk. Easter mornings Lititz can be filled not only with the sound of Amish horse & buggies journeying to worship but with the Moravians' own Trombone choir, which starts playing through the town at 4am.
