Explore terrain on the east slopes of Mount Rainier via scenic Chinook Pass. In addition to Naches Peak, you’ll have access to Tipsoo Lake, Dewey Lake, and a section of the Pacific Crest Trail from the Tipsoo Lake picnic area. Don’t miss this area in late July when wildflowers light up the valley!

5 mile loop with iconic views of Mt. Ranier. Trail head is at the top of the HWY 410 Naches Pass. The loop is best done clockwise for the most outstanding views.

This trail was listed amongst the top 10 trails in Washington! It is absolutely gorgeous, especially if you catch it when the flowers are blooming in spring and early summer. It is easy, mostly flat with a few gentle ups and downs. You circle the peak to end up with a breath taking view of Mt. Rainer. It takes about 2 hours.

This is our favorite hike. It starts at Tipsoo Lake and loops around Naches Peak. There are alpine lakes, incredible wildflowers in July, huckleberries in August, and amazing views of Mount Rainier. It is best to do the loop from Tipsoo Lake in a clockwise manner around the peak.

We love to go early in the morning or later in the afternoon. This hike offers a reward with a majestic view of Mount Rainer. August is wildflower time.
