The first foundations of the Old Castle of Celje date from the second half of the 12th century. Visit Slovenian largest medieval castle. Celje used to be an important Roman and medieval town, so the museums (Celeia - a Town Beaneath Today's Town, the Regional Museum) in the old town are also worth visiting.
