Incontournable pour voir toute la faune de la côte caraïbe du Costa Rica dans son milieu naturel. Vous pouvez le faire en solo ou avec un guide. Pour la première fois, je conseille un guide car vous risquez de passer à côté d'un pareseux sans l'avoir vu (coût 20 à 30$) Entrée: ce que l'on veut (6$/pers, c'est correct). C'est mieux dès 7h le matin pour observer tranquillement.

Simply gorgeous, with some of the best white sand beaches in the area. Home of one of only two coral reefs in Costa Rica.

The National Park contains a 4km trail which runs along a white sand beach. It is home to sloths, White Face Monkeys, Howler Monkeys, raccoons, various species of snakes, iguanas, Watusas, Caimans and a plethora of flora.

Cahuita National Park is lovely and easy to navigate on your own if you wish. Cahuita (the town) is around 20 minutes drive North of Puerto Viejo. It's a great little town and there are plenty of places to grab lunch after your hike. Cahuita also has great beaches. If you need a guide it's easy enough to grab someone outside the park entrance to take you in. Double check with the reception area that your guide is legit before paying him/her anything.

Walk into the park and be on the look out for sloths and other local wildlife. Hire a guide with a sporting scope or go on your own. You can cut off the trail and out to the beach throughout the park. Cost of entry is donation. 8 minute drive from Casa Tui.
