The Abbey and palace at Bishops Waltham is a beautiful historic site, perfect for learning about the local area and is connected to Moreland's via the local Monks path that passes through our woodland.

Former palace for the Bishop of Winchester before Oliver Cromwell got his hands dirty. Now a ruin but still quite impressive. Free to visit but check opening hours.

Visitors can see the remains of this grand medieval residence dating from the 12th and 14th centuries, which includes the Great Hall, a three-story tower and a moat that once encircled the palace and grounds.
