Awesome hike! Drive, walk, or bike to the entrance. Hike through the dunes all the way to the ocean. Best place to see seals (and great white sharks!!). Walk forever in either direction (north/south). Take shoes in the summer as the sand get HOT!

A great dune hike to the beach through the forest and then the dunes. Park on road and hike from trail head.

This is at the intersection of Route 6A and Snail Road. There’s parking off the side of the road. You hike up a big dune in the beginning and can actually hike all the way to the ocean, though I’ve never personally done the whole trek. The dunes are absolutely gorgeous!

One-of-a-kind hike through an otherworldly dune-scape out to a pristine stretch of Atlantic beaches. Artists from Eugene O'Neill to Jack Kerouac to Jackson Pollack have stayed in the dune shacks and found inspiration where "A man may stand and put all America behind him." (Thoreau)
