This is a nice spot for a picnic or a BBQ. The waterhole is beautiful and it's teaming with fish and wild turtles that swim right up to you as well as water fowl and other bird life. There's a few walking trails and you can even find an original 'kippa ring' hidden in the forest here which is a sacred aboriginal initiation circle that was created by the local aboriginals who inhabited this part of Brisbane. It has been preserved and is quite amazing to see. It is integrated with the wetlands bikeway network which you can join onto from Toombul (it's a relatively flat, comfortable ride, all the way here with only one small stretch of road to ride on.
