In a big, sun-drenched space that could be a gallery, try artisan coffees from around the world—and sometimes four from the same country. The slow-brewed coffees are prepared at the brew bar, so that’s a good place to watch the action. They’re always mixing things up—for ‘cafe takeovers,’ a coffee company will make Paramount its home for a week. Saturdays there’s a Locals Market, where Talia turns the back section into a little veggie house. Pick up a filter coffee as well as a big, beautiful seasonal produce hamper. If you get weird things like daikon, look out for the recipes Talia posts online for guidance on what to cook.

Trendy cafe in a revamped art deco building. There's also a beautiful rooftop terrace with fare more geared towards clients of the boutique fitness club they have up there. Both worth a visit!
TOP PICK: Gorgeous industrial space showcasing different styles of quality coffee and creative diner-style food. Set in the foyer of the Art Deco heritage Paramount Building. Worth a peek!
This cafe is architecturally striking, with high ceilings, polished concrete, white subway tiles and timber benches among accents of elegant black. The food matches the sophistication of the space and coffee. There’s Brickfield sourdough with avocado, fermented salsa and cashew butter; and pearl…
Here is where I offer my Airbnb experiences for spiritual reading sessions and workshops for tourists visiting Sydney. It’s a very Aussie Australian type of setting as it showcases a lot of the distinct coffee culture Australians are proud of.

“Commonly referenced as the best coffee, this hole in the wall is worth swinging by, particularly if you're walking to Central Station. Reservoir is a buzzy little street too. Lots of ad agencies, designers, start-ups and tech companies are located in the area so it's got a bit of a vibe.”

Bar à cocktails
“Forget everything you know, or think you know, about tequila and prepare to be schooled in a fun way. This bar has around 120 tequilas on its shelves: some extremely rare, and most much smoother and flavoursome than the spirit you’re used to in late-night shots. Cocktails include the Roberto’s Especial: with fresh apple juice, cucumber, and three herbs. Order a drink and you’ll be handed a complimentary bag of spicy popcorn in a brown paper bag. If you’re after something more substantial, the bar has snacks delivered from Butter restaurant next door. Their crispy chicken burger with corn chips, chipotle mayo, cheese, and jalapeños is very tasty.”

“The coolest Art House cinema in town. Housed in the old Paramount Pictures building Director’s screening room with only 50 seats. Have a drink and snack in the beautiful bar downstairs. 15 minute walk down Elizabeth Street.”
