This is my favourite ice cream shop ever! I’m lactose-intolerant and their dairy free options are fabulous. Bella’s Traditional Ice Cream is Saint John’s newest, hippest spot to grab a homemade shake, scoop, or pint to go. Walking by you will be drawn in by the delicious scents wafting out the door and onto Germain Street. The family-owned-and-operated homemade ice cream shop’s name pays homage to owner Derek Billingsley’s late grandmother Isabella – his three daughters serve up scoops under a neon sign bearing her name. Stocking reusable jars, compostable bowls and lids, paper straws and wooden spoons, Bella’s tries to reduce their environmental footprint wherever possible. I HIGHLY recommend stopping by this summer to give Bella’s a taste! 87 Germain Street - 900 m.
