Only about 50 minutes away (33 miles) this ski resort is great for beginners and families offering a host of winter activities. While the vertical height cannot compare with the Rockies, it offers reasonably priced lessons, friendly staff and a fun family day trip.

Family-oriented ski area offers eleven runs with varied terrain for all skill levels, plus a "Valley Kids" ski program designed for children 5 through 11.
