Beautiful walk from the car park around the cliff path down to this historical place.
Port Isaac has been an attractive fishing village since the early fourteenth century. Its narrow, winding streets are lined with old white-washed cottages and traditional granite, slate-fronted Cornish houses, many of which are listed as of architectural or historic importance. The roads are narrow so best to park in the main carpark just outside the village and take the coastal path round to Port Isaac. If you are a Doc Martin fan, then you will recognise a number of places from the series.

Most people think about the filming of Doc Martin but from the Middle Ages to the mid 19th century it was a busy coastal port with cargoes of stone, coal, timber and pottery, apart from fishing. There are still fishermen working from there. You will struggle to find fresher crabs and fish if you visit Fresh From The Sea in New Road, Port Isaac. Nathan Outlaw also has a restaurant called Outlaw's Fish Kitchen in Middle Street, Port Isaac.
