Fun, informal restaurant, with an excellent lunch deal - 10EUR for a first or second course, open salad bar, dessert and coffee. Full of locals, go early, no later than 12pm, to find a free table.

The most famous trattoria in Bergamo. The owner Giuliana is one the most beloved personality in the city, everybody knows her and appreciates her. Food is local, tasty and plentiful. The only downside: it might be crowded. But service is nonetheless very quick and it's a truly local experience. It's quieter (but more expensive) at the evening

A very popular local restaurant, where you can taste specialties on a convenient fixed price menu, also at dinner (now it is 25 euros 👍)., only 15 minutes away on a pleasant walk downtown. If you want to try typical regional food, order “casoncelli” and “arrosto con polenta e patate”.
