This delectable beach is part of the English Riviera and it lives up to its name with its stunning sands, views and sunshine. This is the main beach for Torquay, being popular with holidaymakers from the surrounding hotels, day visitors and locals. This is a favourite spot for young holiday makers, who also take the opportunity to use the grassy expanse of nearby Torre Abbey Meadows. Type: Sand Access: Easy Dogs: Banned during the summer (May - Sept). There is a dog exercise area on Torre Abbey Meadows.

Torre Abbey is located on Torquay Seafront, a long stretch of white sand popular in the summer months with water sports.

Easy access sea-front beach in town-centre. This is our closest beach. 15-20 minutes on foot. Shallow water with deep water further out. Very safe and sandy. Great for a quick dip before dinner. Parking free after 6 p.m. (correct Jan 21).

Beautiful beach, 30 mins walk or 5/10 mins by car Walk along Promenade with your dog ( not allowed on beach May-Sept) Great for families, building sandcastles, swimming etc
